Spend 9 days learning how to prepare authentic dishes alongside MasterChef finalist Federica Di Lieto, while soaking in the relaxed atmosphere of Southerm Italy. Hang Loose Cottage - Located in Gizzeria, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Hang Loose Cottage is an eco-friendly resort that blends comfort, nature and local charm. DAY 1
Arrival

 – Arrival & settle into our beautiful Resort

– Family Style Dinner

DAY 2
The Secret's of the Land:
Lamezia Terme

 – Breakfast 

 – Guided visit to the local market with Chef Federica  

– Hands-on experience making traditional 
fileja and scialatielli pasta using age-old recipes
with Chef Federica

– Dinner & Relax in the beautiful garden with an ocean view 

DAY 3
The Sea on Your Plate:
Gizzeria 

 –  Breakfast followed by an early morning boat tour with local fisherman in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Learn traditional fishing techniques & select your own catch!

–  Learn traditional fishing techniques & select your own catch.

– Cooking session with Chef Federica: stroncatura,
marinated anchovies, mixed fried fish and more.

 – Seaside lunch featuring your fresh catch with free time in the afternoon.

–  Relaxing walk through the village to end the day

DAY 4
Cheese-making in Calabria

– Breakfast and a morning departure to the Sant'Anna 
Dairy Farm. Tour of the farm: discover daily life between stables and pastures 

–  Participate in the hands-on preparation of fresh ricotta: learn how to transform milk into traditional Calabrian cheese.

– Guided tasting of different aged cheese and explore flavors and techniques. 

– Return to the resort for dinner and relaxation.   

DAY 5
Cantine Statti: Wine & Oil Tasting 

– Breakfast and late departure to Cantine Statti , a historic family-owned winery in the heart of Calabria 

–  Guided tour of the vineyards, olive groves and wine cellar. Learn about the winemaking process and the estate's commitment to sustainability 

– Wine tasting of selected Statti labels, paired with local cheeses and cured meats. Light lunch in the vineyard or tasting room. 

– Return to the resort and afternoon at leisure 

DAY 6
Tropea Walking Tour & Beach Day

– Breakfast and a morning departure to Tropea, one of Calabria's most stunning coastal towns.

–  Guided walking tour thtough the historic center: noble palaces, hidden alleys and panoramic views of the sea.

– Free lunch & afteroon to relax at the beach or explore shops and cafes.

– Dinner   

DAY 7
Pizzo by Night & Farewell Dinner 

– Breakfast and morning at leisure to enjoy the beach or relax at the resort 

–  Afternoon departure to the coastal town of Pizzo. Walking tour of the historic center and visit the main landmarks, including the famous Piedigrotta Church.

– Free time for shopping and exploration.

– Farewell Dinner in Pizzo feauturing traditional Calabrian dishes. After dinner, enjoy a tartufo gelato in the town's iconic plaza. 

– Return to the resort under the stars.

DAY 8
Departure

– Breakfast and Departure

Here we laugh while kneading, sing while stirring and always raise a glass to life!

  1. What forms of payment do you accept?
    Cash, Credit Card, Check, PayPal.
  2. What is your cancellation policy?
    $500 non refundable deposit. (Unless noted below) 

    Payment in full is required at 30 days prior to departure REFUNDS / In the event that we must cancel a trip, you will be given a full refund of all deposits and payments.

    We do not give refunds of deposits or final payments for tours that commence as scheduled, including for unused portions of the tour. We do give credit for cancellations as noted below. 

    Cancellation policy: In the event you cancel your tour for any reason, we allow credit for payments (but not the non-refundable deposit) in the following way: 
    - 100% credit for future tours given with 90 days notice. 
    - No credit given for cancellation less than 30 days prior to start date of the tour. 

    The airport in Calabira is Called: Lamezia Terme (SUF) 

    We must reach a minimum of 12 People to have this tour. 

    If this number is not reeached we will return all monies.
  3. What document are required to travel to Italy?
    Passport (not to expire within 6months of leaving the USA).
  4. Can you accommodate gluten-free travelers on your culinary tour?
